Namaste and Goodbye (for now): A Fond Farewell from the Mat
After years of deep breaths, infinite downward dogs, and helping studio owners find their center (and their spreadsheets), the time has come for me to roll up this consulting mat and lovingly place it in the metaphorical closet.
Yes, friends, I’m officially closing the doors on my era as a fit biz consultant. This wasn’t a decision made during a Mercury retrograde or after one too many decaf coconut milk lattes (though both were involved). It was made with clarity, calm, and a whole lotta love.
The business will be officially closed effective June 1, 2025. Until then, I’ll be tying up loose ends, sending virtual hugs, and resisting the urge to reorganize someone’s KPIs one last time.
Looking ahead, I’ll be focusing on my family, my own health, and—perhaps the most advanced pose of all—rest. No agenda. No five-year plan. Just a season of exhaling, reconnecting, and seeing what blossoms when you stop trying to control the garden.
Over the years, I’ve had the honor of working with incredible studio owners—visionaries, risk-takers, and community builders who believed that yoga & movement could heal the world (and keep the lights on). I’ve helped launch dreams, untangle scheduling software nightmares, streamline systems, and occasionally play business therapist over Zoom. And every second of it has been a gift.
But just like in yoga, there’s a time to engage and a time to release. And it’s time for me to release.
So what’s next? Probably a little more chocolate fueled hikes with my kiddos, a few extra barre fitness classes, and new ways of serving that don’t involve color-coded Google Sheets (who am I kidding, there will always be a need for spreadsheets!). Life has a funny way of nudging us toward the next chapter—and this chapter smells like possibility and maybe a little eucalyptus oil.
To everyone who trusted me, worked with me, laughed with me, cried with me (or just tried really hard to focus on KPIs with me), thank you. Thank you for being part of this journey. Your passion lit me up. Your hustle inspired me. And your authenticity made this work feel like fun and purpose, not just business. You shared your wisdom with me and empowered me to make my own entrepreneur dreams come true. I’m a better version of myself thanks to this era. I’ll be forever grateful.
If you’re reading this wondering if it’s your time to let go of something, shift direction, or try a new pose in life—consider this your sign. Sometimes the bravest thing we can do is change. Or rest.
I’ll still be around—just not in the same inbox. I’ll always be cheering you on from the sidelines with a cup of tea in one hand and a half-smile of contentment (and probably a little mischief) on my face.
Until then, keep breathing. Keep stretching. Keep moving. Keep learning and growing. Keep trusting yourself.
The mat may be packed away, but the journey never really ends.
With gratitude, laughter, and a deep exhale,
Roxy
